Atlanta, GA : Messe Frankfurt, Inc., and Mesago Messe Frankfurt have announced their cooperation to produce SPS Electric Automation America in Rosemont (Chicago), IL. SPS Electric Automation America will offer, for the first time in the U.S., a special-interest event to include both an exhibition and conference program for electric automation technologies. The exhibition will cover all components of electric automation, complete systems and will offer integrated automation solutions as well as motion control products in one location. The event is scheduled for May 24-26, 2005 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.
A major factor in this launch decision was the overwhelmingly positive feedback received from potential exhibitors and attendees. According to Roland Bleinroth, President of Messe Frankfurt, Inc., “Following discussions with a number of ranking industry leaders, the response and level of interest was very positive. With the North American marketplace being a leader in the application of automated technologies and the world’s primary manufacturing economy, conditions are excellent for a trade show and conference program of this format.”
Last year’s SPS/IPC/DRIVES event in Germany proved to be a huge success by focusing on programmable controls, electric drives and software. The event experienced an across-the-board increase in both the number of exhibitor and visitors to the trade show and conference by approximately 16%. By expanding this successful model across the Atlantic and tailoring it to fit the unique needs of the North American market, show organizers look to bring a much needed and highly-anticipated platform to the region.
Being a centralized location for both exhibitor and visitor target groups, the Chicago area proved to be the ideal choice for the first edition of SPS Electric Automation America. The Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, in Rosemont is located just five minutes from O’Hare International Airport allowing for easy access to the event for domestic and international participants. The facility benefits include on-site convention services for exhibitor convenience, spacious halls and updated meeting rooms. The area is a prime location for related industries and as such considerable local attendee traffic is also anticipated.
The conference is being designed as a user-oriented meeting point for development engineers, as well as design engineers involved in research and industrial applications, who are seeking to update their knowledge about up-to-date solutions and future applications.
The targeted visitor segment for the exhibition and conference includes international decision makers in the electric automation sector, with particular focus on the following industries: factory automation, electrical engineering, electric drives & controls, mechanical engineering, electronics, plant engineering, electric measurement & controls, computers and network, automobile engineering, chemical industry and academia. Design and development, production and executive management level attendees will also be keenly interested in the showcased products and services.
The inaugural edition of SPS Electric Automation America Exhibition and Conference will be held May 24-26, 2005 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont (Chicago), IL.
