- The highly-anticipated conference to offer comprehensive and extensive coverage in the areas of electric automation, machine and motion control
Atlanta, GA :As show organizers Messe Frankfurt, Inc. and Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH plan for the first North American special-interest event to include an exhibition and a conference program for electric automation technologies, a significant number of companies have already joined the event as founding exhibitors. The exhibition portion of the event, Electric Automation America, will be held on May 24-26, 2005 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont (Chicago), IL. The exhibition will cover all components of electric automation down to the complete system and will offer integrated automation solutions as well as motion control products in one location. The concentrated focus on vertical technology appeals to decision makers from the electric automation sector, particularly from the areas of electrical engineering, electric drives and controls, mechanical engineering, electronics, plant engineering, electric measurement & controls, factory automation, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, packaging, computers and network, automobile engineering, chemical industry and academia.
Early indications show that exhibitors are excited about the events’ unique features, from the convenient location and timing to the high-end conference program designed as a user-oriented meeting point for development and design engineers.

The conference begins one-day earlier than the trade show and takes place May 23-26, 2005. The conference will focus on the development and successful application of electric automation components and systems on the factory floor. Technical paper sessions, panel discussions and professional seminars will encompass the design, manufacture, standardization, use, industry direction, and trends of electric automation components, products and systems including repeatable solutions within and across industries using totally integrated motion. A call for papers was recently issued to solicit papers in the areas of electric automation, machine and motion control. Prospective authors were asked to submit a 200 - 400 word description of their planned topic with a clear description of the paper’s objective, approach and results. More than 50 qualified abstracts have been submitted already, with more coming in each week. A peer review committee will review all of the submitted abstracts. Conference topics and speakers for the May event will be announced next month.
