Successful second edition of Texworld USA in New York held in cooperation with Lenzing Innovation Asia, welcomes 148 exhibitors from 13 countries

Move to Javits Convention Center for July 2007 announced

Highly-qualified buyers return

The second edition of Texworld USA held January 23-25, 2007 in New York was deemed a success by buyers, exhibitors and show management. The show continues to provide an international business platform offering a wide array of high creativity fabrics with an excellent price / quality relationship. Some of the best companies in this global marketplace showcased fabrics of innovative structures, inspiring materials and surprising color palettes. With more than 1,900 highly qualified buyers in attendance, the industry’s expectation for a trade show in New York providing this quality and value offer was solidly met.  Lenzing Innovation Asia’s results again exceeded their expectations and Lenzing is excited about the future of these co-located events.

Texworld USA is Moving
Due to the need for additional exhibition space to accommodate more exhibitors and larger booth requests, Texworld USA will be moving to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York for the July 2007 show. This will be the permanent home of Texworld USA and will allow the show organizers to meet the growing needs of exhibitors, while giving attendees a single exhibition hall that is easier to navigate. For the third edition scheduled to take place July 17-19, 2007, the flourishing newcomer to the US market will sprout its roots in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Excellent Qualified Buyers
Qualified buyers returned for the second edition of Texworld USA eager to see what the show would have to offer for the Spring/Summer 2008 season.  The qualification process that continues to be enforced by Messe Frankfurt ensures that only legitimate buyers and designers are given access to Texworld USA. Each attendee registration was thoroughly reviewed and the appropriate credentials confirmed

Some of the world’s most prominent labels attended the second edition of Texworld USA including: Coach, Cold Water Creek, Eddie Bauer, Kenneth Cole, Nautica, Perry Ellis, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sean John, Tommy Bahama, and Urban Outfitters.

Exhibitors were satisfied with the event and look forward to the continued growth at Javits Convention Center to bring in even more buyers as the show continues to expand.

In addition to the diligent qualification of buyers, each exhibitor was reviewed to ensure that they were all applicable to the severe brand qualifications set forth to ensure the most effective mix of buyers and sellers possible. These featured exhibitors are well selected thanks to Messe Frankfurt’s expertise and market knowledge, including an excellent network within the textile industry around the world.

Industry Seminars
Texworld USA featured several presentations that were very well received by the attending buyers and designers including Fashion Trend Forecasts presented both days by Cotton Incorporated, a Smart Sustainable Sourcing seminar presented by Organic Exchange and a lecture on Guaranteed Eco-friendlyness of Lenzing Fibers. An additional presentation of Trend Presentation Spring/Summer 2008 put on by Lenzing Innovation Asia and presented by Color Portfolio, Inc. had to be scheduled due to such high demand.

Lenzing Innovation Asia Partnership
Lenzing Innovation Asia continued to partner with Messe Frankfurt for the second edition of Texworld USA. They provide excellent opportunities to some of their exclusive customers that use their Tencel/Modal fibers. According to Dieter Eichinger, Global Marketing Director from Lenzing: “Lenzing sees Texworld USA developing in a very positive direction. Within a very short time Texworld USA has become the Number 1 show among apparel fabric trade shows. The feedback that we received from our exhibitors also reflects this development. We are convinced that Texworld USA fills a market gap that still has great potential.

The strategic decision of Messe Frankfurt to move to Javits Convention Center in July 2007 is a crucial step that will lead to a sustained and healthy growth of the show. The partnership between Lenzing and Messe Frankfurt is an important brand-building element of both companies in the US.”
