Paperworld USA

Los Angeles, CA, June 13 – 15, 2007

Paperworld USA moves to new dates and new location

European Trend Show to debut at this year’s event

Second edition of the Innovations Marketplace Inventors Pavilion

Paperworld USA has moved its trade show dates to June in order to better accommodate the buying cycles of many of its industry segments. The show was previously positioned in a November time period that was too near the upcoming Holiday season. The new June dates will allow for a greater number of independent stationery and specialty retail stores to now attend. Los Angeles, California was selected as the show city based on it being the largest retail and manufacturing market in the U.S. and its convenience for local and regional drive-in traffic of buyers to attend the event.

The trade show attracts a large number of Latin American visitors and exhibitors in addition to its U.S. market share. Los Angeles will be a positive destination for the Latin American market as well as Asian buyers with service from three major airports. Another factor in moving the show dates was to spread out the three Paperworld brand shows – Paperworld Frankfurt, Paperworld China and Paperworld USA to allow both manufacturers and buyers the opportunity to participate and better reach each important marketplace.

For the first time in the United States, a unique display of European trends will be on display at Paperworld USA.  A variety of cutting-edge European products selected by the international design and trend expert Gunnar Frank has developed an inspiring trend concept in collaboration with Messe Frankfurt. The moods of the coming season, along with a selection of products and styles, will be presented to the industry at the Paperworld USA trade show in Los Angeles from June 13-15, 2007 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Since 1998, Gunnar Frank has been responsible for the trends at the Frankfurt Paperworld. The many-facetted trend researcher, who lives in Haarlem, The Netherlands is a textile engineer and studied fashion design and philosophy. After working in the fashion industry for many years, Holland-born Frank concentrated on textile interior design and accessories. In addition, he teaches at the Academy for Design in Rietfeld, Netherlands, and is a guest speaker at many international events. He is also a member of the International Colour Authority in London.

The popular Innovations Marketplace pavilion will be returning for its second year. This exciting pavilion features inventors and their latest patented or patent-pending products in the school, home and office products; creative; scriptum; and imaging industries. This pavilion is only open to registered buyers to attend. In addition to this special feature area, there will be a New Product Showcase pavilion on the exhibit floor highlighting the new products from this show’s exhibitors.
